The STEP is used primarily by the University of Cambridge, Imperial College London and the University of Warwick for applicants to a range of Mathematics courses. Other universities may also ask for a STEP result as part of their offer. Please refer to your specific university’s websites for specific information regarding application requirements.
The test has multiple papers which often change to keep up with changes to other examinations and university requirements. Make sure you have the latest details from the official test website.
ITS Education Asia is an open centre (#HK109) and exam dates are held each year in June. Candidates can enrol directly with us as we are BOTH the enrolling and examining centre for this test.

June Exam dates & times for Hong Kong in 2026:
STEP 2: 4th June
STEP 3: 10th June
In 2025 the papers ran at 4-7pm HKT and we expect the same for 2026 although this is not yet confirmed.
If your STEP Maths exam clashes with an IAL exam you are enrolled in, let us know immediately so we can arrange timetable
variation. In this case, your IAL will take priority and you will get an alternative STEP Maths time.
Enrolments for June 2026 STEP Maths - Important Dates
Enrolment requests will be accepted from 11 am on Monday 2nd March 2026.
Please note there is no pre-enrolment. Requests received before this will not be registered.
Registration for STEP at ITS closes at 2pm on Friday 24th April 2026.
Requests received after this will not be registered.
If you are applying for Access Arrangements such as extra-time you must submit supporting evidence at the time of your enrolment. If
you submit a standard enrolment you cannot apply for Access Arrangements later. If the supporting evidence you submit is insufficient you will
be asked to replace it. Please note that in this case the fee charged will depend on when the correct documents were received, not when
the first enrolment was made. In any case, Access Arrangements cannot be processed after 2pm on Friday 24th April 2026.
