Teachers for Post-Secondary English Language Diploma Courses

We need teachers for the school term starting January 2020 through early May 2020.

  • Weekday, day-time hours. Statutory & school holidays off.
  • Set curriculum & full teaching support.
  • This is an accredited, post-secondary English language course for HK students who have just completed secondary school.
  • This is a PT, salaried position (salary based on number of classes taken up). The post requires a Qualifications Assessment from the HKCAAVQ for educational certificates obtained outside of Hong Kong.
  • Native English speaker. HK permanent residents, bachelor’s degree (English language or related) holder with registered teacher status (or equivalent) required.
  • There is also the possibility to engage in subject tutoring at ITS Education Asia's schools in Hong Kong on a PT basis.

Full-Time/Part-Time teachers

  • Biology
  • Mandarin
  • SAT Tutor/s
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • English Literature

For all teaching positions, you should:

  • have a relevant honours degree/PGCE, preferably with experience in teaching I/GCSE, AS/A-levels and/or IB.
  • be a native English speaker (or have near native fluency, with the exception of language teachers who should nevertheless be able to communicate effectively in English)
  • have the ability to teach a second subject to lower year groups (an advantage)

Job responsibilities are:

  • teaching language/academic subject courses to classes, small groups and individuals
  • monitoring and evaluating students’ performance and progress, providing appropriate feedback to parents and managers
  • providing reports each term for all students attending their classes
  • contributing to course development through the production of lesson plans as required
  • attending teacher planning and information sessions

All applicants must have:

  • relevant teaching qualifications
  • at least one year's teaching experience
  • a permanent/dependent working visa or have sideline visa permission from their Hong Kong employer (we can only accept applications from candidates currently based in Hong Kong)

Vocational trainers/teachers/instructors

We are also keen to work with educators who can offer instruction in vocational and/or professional areas. Examples include accountancy, book-keeping, photography, software, and art. The list is extremely long. We get many queries for these types of courses and would like to be able to cater to this need. If you are interested please contact us to discuss the possibilities. We are happy to enter into revenue sharing agreements which allow you to develop the course as your own business. Please email jobs@itseducation.asia.

ITS also provides facilities for qualified people who wish to run their own courses but need a venue.
